Uzbekistan

This is our first entry into the Republic of Uzbekistan.  We crossed from near Jetisay (Kazakhstan) into the Jizzakh Oblast.  This region of Uzbekistan is fed by a network of canals, allowing them to cultivate enormous quantities of cotton, wheat, and watermelons.  Next was the ancient city of Samarkand, then departure into Tajikistan.
